Here at Combat South we have 2 levels of upgrade available for the Tokyo Marui G-Spec, to be done at the point of purchase. These upgrades have been a long work in progress for us with the guns being built to different specs for staff and players and firmly tested in the field to aim to get the best from your Tokyo Marui G-Spec.
Upgrades are completed within a week to ten days from point of purchase, with all guns being tested at our lasered and level shooting range. The levels of upgrades are as follows-
Level 1:
Will give you long range, accuracy and durability.
Action Army M150 spring to replace weak standard spring 339fps 0.43g/2.3J
Action Army cylinder, piston and bearing spring guide. The complete standard G-spec cylinder unit is sealed, as well as being weak itself and with weak internals so it is all replaced.
Action Army trigger sear. The standard trigger sear is also weak so needs replacing.
S-hopped barrel and custom hop arm and nub - The standard G-Spec hop unit is a good unit and works very well with our modified hop arm and nub, and the standard TM G-Spec barrel, which has a very good internal finish, is s-hopped which enables the gun to lift heavier weight bb’s more efficiently increasing range and accuracy (s-hopped sniper rifles are setup and range tested on 0.43g Geoff’s bb’s as a minimum (Geoff’s 0.48g bb’s being the most optimal)
Range: 75-80m straight shot, 90-95m elevated shot (approx. 1m) using Geoffs 0.43g bb’s*
A scope is essential, and we recommend you fit one with at least a 6-7 x magnification.
Level 2:
Will give slightly better long-range accuracy than level 1, a lighter bolt pull and slightly quieter report.
Action Army M130 spring to replace weak standard spring 339fps 0.43g/2.3J
Action Army cylinder, bearing spring guide and modified piston (The AA piston is weighted to gain more power from the M130 spring while giving an easier bolt pull). The complete standard G-spec cylinder unit is sealed, as well as being weak itself and with weak internals so it is all replaced.
Action Army trigger sear. The standard trigger sear is also weak so needs replacing.
S-hopped Action Army 430mm Stainless Steel barrel (extended into suppressor) and Action Army hop unit with modified hop arm and custom TDC adjusting nub. The Action Army hop unit is a very good unit and works very well with our modified hop arm and TDC nub, and the longer Action Army barrel, which has a very good internal finish, is s-hopped which enables the gun to lift heavier weight bb’s more efficiently increasing range and accuracy (s-hopped sniper rifles are setup and range tested on 0.43g Geoff’s bb’s as a minimum (Geoff’s 0.48g bb’s being the most optimal))

*All range tests are conducted on a level, open playing field with laser measured targets. Hop on each gun is set to a flat trajectory with no over hop and using a human torso sized target. All upgraded packages come with 6 months warranty.
